Coaching Covenant

Coaching is best when built on the commitments and of a skilled coach and a client, who is both motivated and ready to take ownership of their goals, choices, and opportunities. The client and I will observe a Coaching Covenant. You may download the full coaching covenant here.

1: Coaching is Relational

Coaching will be an ongoing relationship that takes time to build. We are committing to a relationship, in which coaching will help you identify and take steps, which lead to transformation, new opportunities, and satisfying outcomes. Some of these steps can be taken quickly and some rather not as fast. We are committing to a process; a journey that we will take together. For this reason, my coaching requires a 1 month minimum commitment on the part of the client.

2: Values-Driven

Coaching assumes that each person in the relationship is guided by his or her values and beliefs. The coach is honest in the sharing of his or her creeds, but respects the different values and beliefs of others. The coach does not seek to impose his or her values on another, proselytize, condemn, or refuse coaching services to people, who do not share similar values and beliefs.

3: Customized Approach

Coaching is designed to address issues the person being coached would like to consider. These could include (but are not limited to) career development, relationship enhancement, spiritual growth, lifestyle management, life balance, decision making, and achieving short-term or long-term goals.

4: Confidentiality

I will maintain the strictest confidence with you as a client because I value your trust and the integrity of our relationship as coach and client. All conversation during coaching sessions will be honored, private, and held with utmost dignity. Your truthfulness will be treated with the highest respect; a special confidence. However, should I suspect that a client may harm himself or herself or another person, I will use appropriate discretion and take specific protective action.

5: Honest, Direct Communication

Coaching is most effective when both parties are honest and straightforward in their communication.

6: Useful Methods

Coaching can involve brainstorming, values clarification, the completion of written assignments, education, goal-setting, identifying plans of action, accountability, making requests, agreements to change behavior, examining lifestyles, and questioning.

7: Coaching Fees

I receive $185 per month for coaching individuals. This fee secures me as your coach for the month and includes up to three sessions of telephone, Skype Audio Video Chat, or in person coaching, if feasible. This also includes e-coaching through email for following up on progress, extending our conversations, action plans, and sharing successes. Fees will be paid before the first week of the coaching month and may be submitted through Paypal, personal check, or cash.

8: Client-Readiness

All coaches have tremendous appreciation for all people-helping services. Coaching is for people who are basically well-adjusted, emotionally healthy, functioning effectively, and wanting to make changes in their lives.

9: Coaching isn't Therapy

Coaching is not therapy, counseling, advice-giving, mental health care, or treatment for substance abuse. The coach is not functioning as a licensed mental health professional, and coaching is not intended as a replacement for counseling, psychiatric interventions, treatment for mental illness, recovery from past abuse, professional medical advice, financial assistance, legal counsel, or other professional services.

Expect from Me...

I will be committed to your agenda, punctual, and well-prepared.
I will “show-up” by being fully present, actively listening, and asking powerful, thought-provoking questions.
I will be trustworthy and honest about what is shared in the coach/client relationship, with respect and discretion.
I will believe in you and support you in the change and transformational process to help you live into your purpose, your mission, and your dreams.
